Gorc is an early-development recreation of the Dark Forces II game engine. Its goal is to replace the original game executable so the original singleplayer and multiplayer levels can be played on new platforms. It is written in C++14 and runs on Windows and Linux.

Building uses CMake with SFML 2.1 and Boost, and you must copy the episode data from your own Dark Forces II installation during one-time setup.

Highlights

  • Aims to run the original singleplayer and multiplayer levels
  • Custom test harness named boc
  • 100% line coverage policy for accepted code changes
  • Coverage reports generated through gcov
