MikuPan is an in-progress port of Fatal Frame 1 for the PlayStation 2 to PC, running natively with no emulation. The author describes it as very early work, and a debug build is recommended because of issues with release builds.

You build it yourself with CMake, which fetches the dependencies automatically. The game needs data files from a matching disc of your own: the NTSC-U (USA) version by default or the PAL (EU) version through dedicated presets. Japanese discs do not work.

Highlights

  • Native port, no emulator involved
  • CMake presets for NTSC-U and PAL/EU game data
  • Builds with MinGW, Cygwin or MSVC on Windows, and GCC on Linux
  • macOS is not officially supported
  • Based on Himuro
