Memory of Alessa is a matching decompilation project for Silent Hill 3 on the PlayStation 2. Its goals are a 100% byte-matching decompilation of Silent Hill 3 and of the Silent Hill 2 engine it is founded on, along with learning and documenting the technical history of Team Silent's PS2 engine. The authors warn it is in early stages, so things may change and may be wrong.
Setup targets the NTSC-U v1.02 disc, using files from your own copy. It runs on Linux (x86-64) and macOS (aarch64), and on Windows through WSL. The project credits the decompals community and sister projects such as silent-hill-decomp and Himuro, and documents its contribution rules and an LLM policy.
